Description

Pons translation: The fig tree described is grown in Mut Nou, although very young to elaborate precise descriptors in a reliable way. The mother fig tree is planted in Sa Torre de Montornès, Sineu, from where it is originally.

The tree has a good development and remarkable vigor. The cup is rounded and dense with foliage, it has a short growth of annual, unmarked shoots and a medium harvest period.

The figs are more urceolated than pyriform, medium, greenish yellow, symmetrical in shape, but variable in dimensions, red pulp, juicy, with a nearly nonexistent peduncle, the skin is thin, rough medium. They have little ease of peeling, easy abscission of the peduncle, little resistant to transport, medium resistance to rains and detachment. They are very similar to white brothels, but they have a later maturation and they do not have so much tendency to form badocs.

The leaves are pentalobated and trilobulates in a smaller proportion, with very small marking areas marked and have the acute peciolar angle.

The variety is originally from Sineu, and it is called COLLA DE DAMA BORDISSOTENCA because of its resemblance to each of the varieties that give it the name: Coll de dama and Bordissot.
