Robert Harper in Connecticut (as Fortisi): Comes from New Jersey. This fig is for those who want an outstanding tasting pot grown fig. Not recommended for lower then a zone 8, without winter protection. Does not handle rain while ripening. So, either cover the plant, or use slit plastic cups.  But, if you want a pot grown fig with outstanding flavor, this is one. Some think it is comparable to Kathleen’s Black in taste ratings. Zone 7a/8b ?
