Description

This is the variegated version of the Col de Dame family, grown by Monserrat Pons on Mallorca.

Pons translation: The fig tree was located in Son Font Garrover, by Pere Campins, in Mancor de la Vall, between millenary olive trees and at a considerable altitude.

The tree achieves a medium development, with a fairly clear branch, rounded cup, quite clear of foliage, very late in maturation, growth of annual shoots quite high, of a fairly high production yield and a very long harvest period.

Figs, piriformes, large and colorful, have a yellow color with a very characteristic and very striking green longitudinal strip; They are symmetrical in shape and uniform in dimensions. They do not present abnormal formations or fruits attached. The pulp is red garnet, very tasty; Little and little aquenios. The skin is hard and thin, very little cracked, although at the end of ripeness it has a very cracked thin little mark. They present a good resistance to rains and rocks, and to transport. They are very unresponsive to the opening of the ostiolo and the detachment.

The leaves are mainly pentalobadas, and few of one and three lobes, very fine, marked margins, not marked, with an acute peciolar angle.

The COLL DE DAMA RIMADA variety is known as the denominated shape of the lady's neck and the longitudinal stripes typical of the rimmed varieties.
