Dottato Hybrid, Excell, Kadota Hybrid, Kadota X

Description

A medium-sized yellow fig with amber pulp, also bred by Ira Condit and released in 1975. Oblate to spherical. Well- adapted in California. Early trials in the Southeast are very promising. Seems to be very hardy. Superb flavor. Light greenish-yellow skin and amber fleshed figs are sweeter and have a smaller eye than Kadota. Very resistant to splitting they are excellent for canning, drying and eating fresh. Strong vigorous growing tree developed by Ira Condit as an improved Kadota type.
