Description

This variety is Unifera. The figs are described as sweet and juicy, deep red flesh, first ripening in early August through early October, thin skin, small internal cavity, small ostiole, strong grower and producer of fruit. Figs average 35 grams. The leaf characteristics are mostly 3-lobed, occasional single lobe and five-lobed, serrated leaves.

The mother tree is at sa Maimona, Pons' tree is at Son Mut Nou, Llucmajor.

Pons translation: The tree has a medium vigor, with a snub and rounded crown, in dry conditions it does not develop too much, and yet in substantial lands the development is spectacular, of little dense branches, and of low growth, therefore, it turns out a tree little fruitful, so, it has a medium-low productive yield and also a medium harvest period. The figs are urceolados, and have the tendency to be flattened by the ostiolo, as they mature, they are of matt black color; They have a good percentage of fruits matched, they are symmetrical in shape and variable in dimensions. The skin, slightly cracked, is strong and a little rough to the touch, of hard, thin consistency, very easily peeled and difficult abscission of the peduncle, almost non-existent and red, distinctive character characteristic of the variety; sometimes it has a drop of honey in the ostiolo. The pulp, tasty, is dark red, with few achenes inside, and a variable internal cavity, usually small. They are very resistant to rain, transport, and especially to the opening of the ostiolo.
