Description

Ross Raddi: 8/10. I had suspected it last year, but now I'm more confident in my theory that Teramo is the same thing as Brandon St. Unk. Tastes just like it. My only gripe is that I haven't been able to get them perfectly ripe side by side. There is also another fig grown by a lot of Michigan folks (see Facebook) called Nebo, which originates in Italy if I'm not mistaken. That's another that I think matches these two and in that case would be the real name for these two unknowns. You can see my review on Brandon St. this year here: https://www.ourfigs.com/forum/figs-h...-unk-main-2018

As for this fig, the berry flavor was quite good with an intensity a notch lower of a Hardy Chicago being that it was VERY ripe. Less ripe and you get something similar to Souadi in that it's more of a "light berry" flavor. There's also a sugar/honey flavor giving it it's sweetness that's actually quite interesting. This fig to me is halfway between Hardy Chicago and Souadi. Or less accurately, but more understandable.. halfway between HC and Improved Celeste. It's a very early fig. I would not be surprised seeing it ripen the first week of August on a consistent basis. Very soft fig when ripe. Like a package of jam similar to HC.
