Description

Trees of Joy: We collected this variety from Brooklyn, NY after seeing how cold hardy it is. The tree bears two crops of round dark figs with very good flavor, we named it Brooklyn dark.

Fig is a little larger, maybe usually more round than Mt Etna varieties. It is a rich tasting dark purple fig with a red interior. This was one of my best figs in 2015, not quite as good in 2016 when more of them split in rainy weather. In 2015 first fig on 9/15, in 2016 first fig about 9/20.
