Description

Heat or pollination seems to affect this variety. Outside of wasps territory, the interior tends to be amber. In wasp country the interior is more pink to red.

HarveyC @ Figaholics: Very productive variety originally from Portugal.  Produces large fruits that are sweet to very sweet with a nice complex flavor.  Fruits are attractive with different shades of green and purple.

Ross Raddi: 8/10. I'm not sure how many people have ripened this fig outside of a warm climate. It certainly sets well in the high heat in the early spring of my GH, but it seems to take a little longer than your standard 90 days. Flavor is quite refreshing. A honey fig at heart that's not overpowering with refreshing light & fruity berry tones. That's a flavor profile I've yet to try. Closest comparison is if you combined a Peter's Honey and Hardy Chicago into one and toned those flavors down. This is what you'd get.
The eye is tight, but the side split open due to the rain we had. If I recall from photos I've seen, that happens with this variety even in warm climates. Skin is on the thicker side.
