Description

An UNofficial LSU release via a contribution to UC Davis.

Per UCD: Med-large; yellow skin; resembles Kadota; sweet; nematode resistant. Per Fruit, Berry, and Nut Inventory, 3rd ed. (see citation): "Large, dark purple fig with sweet, white-amber flesh. Will produce fruit on first year's growth."

A choice, medium sized to large, sweet, yellow-green fig with white to amber flesh of high quality.  It bears fruit from July through the summer and into the fall here in Louisiana.  The quality is increased when ripening occurs during dry weather.  This very fine quality fig was hybridized by Dr. Ed O'Rourke of Louisiana State University.
